Residents of Manitoba are standing up for their right to grow four cannabis plants at home

Although winnipeg residents were granted legal rights for adults to cultivate up to 4 cannabis plants per household (NOT per person) under the Canadian Cannabis Act (bill C-45), Manitobans were excluded under their provincial cannabis laws which are allowed to differ from the laws set under Bill C-45 and therefor are still not legally allowed to grow cannabis plants at home, unless for medical purposes (ACMPR).

Star Buds Cannabis Co. Winnipeg staff are proud to support Jesse Lavoie and the Toba Grown movement in their fight for access to homegrown cannabis for ALL Manitobans. Star Buds staff will be showing their Toba Grown support at the Peaceful Protest happening at the Manitoba Legislative building on Thursday August 26th from 10am to 7pm. Let’s stand together! It’s our federal right.

The Cannabis Business Association of Manitoba is currently petitioning the MB provincial government to allow for cannabis lounges in Manitoba. Should you wish to sign your name, the petition is available at both Star Buds Winnipeg locations (Birchwood @ 2519 Portage Avenue & Rossmere @ 1210 Rothesay Street). Stop by, say high, grab some cannabis and help fight for cannabis rights for Manitobans.
